A little about me and Kids Yoga Zone…

Shall I state the obvious? Yes, I love yoga! I’m a mom of 2 who has been practicing since the early 1990s – yup a long time! The mental and physical benefits were immediately so apparent to me, that I began to explore a variety of types, including Hatha, Iyengar and Ashtanga; all of which brought me different benefits. In the early 2000s, I started teaching in private schools, and realized that I’d found my second love – teaching kids! My 2 passions finally collided in 2011 when I began teaching yoga for kids in public schools. Since, I’ve led trainings and taught countless amounts of kids yoga classes!¬† Although I teach preschool and elementary, I specialize in tween and teen yoga, ISPE, parties, and yoga for athletes. I love to integrate the various types of yoga that I’ve studied. My goal is to create a space for kids where they can not only be mindful and present, but where they can have fun!

Helping kids find peace and calm shouldn’t be a mystery, it should be fun! If you can’t get them to a class, get creative on your own! I started Kids Yoga Zone, with the intention of sharing my love for yoga and making teaching kids yoga accessible!
